ADELANTE 2 at the EDDs and GSSD Expo

ADELANTE 2 will be present at the European Development Days (European Commission) and the Global South-South Development Expo (United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation).

As evidence of an ongoing interest in dialogue with key actors in the area of International Development Cooperation, and with a view to achieving alignment with best practices in Triangular Cooperation, ADELANTE will be present at the two most important forums to be held in these fields in the upcoming months:

European Development Days (EDD).
21-22 June, Brussels.

This is the leading European forum on international partnerships for development. Organised by the European Commission, it brings key actors together to share ideas and experiences in ways that inspire new partnerships and innovative solutions to the world's most pressing challenges.

This year's event has been organised around the theme 'Global Gateway: building sustainable partnerships for a connected world'.

Global Gateway is the new European strategy to boost smart, clean and secure links in the digital, energy and transport sectors and to strengthen health, education and research systems across the world. It stands for sustainable and trusted connections that work for people and the planet. It will help to tackle the most pressing global challenges, from fighting climate change and protecting the environment, to improving health systems and boosting competitiveness and global supply chains.  

ADELANTE will have a physical exhibition booth for the full two days of the event, manned by representatives from the ADELANTE Team who will travel to Brussels for the European Development Days. We will share our experience, which shows that Triangular Cooperation is a first-rate modality for creating international partnerships and alliances and for boosting links among actors with a view to harnessing the potential of all participants to tackle global challenges.

Global South-South Development Expo (GSSD Expo).
12-14 September, Bangkok.

The GSSD Expo is an annual event organised by the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) to showcase successful South-South Cooperation and triangular solutions and initiatives.

The 2022 event is conceptualised around the theme 'Advancing South-South and Triangular Cooperation for Sustainable COVID-19 Recovery: Towards a Smart and Resilient Future'.
This precept aims to facilitate discussion on how South-South and Triangular Cooperation can best support recovery efforts, particularly in addressing extreme poverty, food insecurity, vaccination inequality, and other global challenges.

ADELANTE will have a virtual booth at the event, and the ADELANTE Window will be included as a good practice in Volume 4 of the 'Good Practices in South-South Cooperation and Triangular Cooperation' collection, which will be publicly presented during the Expo.
