Triangular Cooperation funds

The ADELANTE 2’s Institutional Support Component consists of six small - scale Triangular Cooperation funds that are used to implement projects in the Latin America and Caribbean region that offer innovative and targeted responses to the requests received from other countries in the region. The main objective of these Triangular Cooperation Funds is to contribute to the achievement of Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals.

The funds have been established with Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba and Uruguay for a total estimated budget of EUR 8.8 million, out of which the European Union contributes with EUR 5 million.

Germany, through the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ-Gmbh), and Spain, through the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AECID), are the implementing partners of four of these funds.
